Job Description

As a Content Writer Intern, you will play an integral role in creating and publishing high-quality, engaging content for our social media platforms and website. Your tasks will include writing articles on current events and trending topics, producing news pieces and blog posts, and ensuring that the voice and style of Sannasa’s brand remain consistent across all content.

Key Responsibilities

• Social Media Content Creation: Develop and publish creative and engaging content for our social media channels such as Facebook, X, and Instagram.

• News Writing & Blogging: Write news articles and blog posts focused on current affairs, magazine topics, and trending stories relevant to our audience.

• Brand Voice Consistency: Maintain a consistent and engaging tone across all content, ensuring the Sannasa brand voice is reflected in every piece of content.

• Research Trending Topics: Identify and research trending topics and stories that resonate with our audience and contribute to content creation.

• Collaborate with Team Members: Work alongside editors and other content creators to ensure the quality and timely delivery of all content.

• Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest social media trends, digital marketing practices, and content creation techniques.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Content Writer Internship, candidates should possess the following:

• Strong skills in news writing, social media content writing, and web content writing.

• Excellent proficiency in Sinhala and English—written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven translation skills (Sinhala to English and vice versa) will be highly regarded.

• Creative thinking with the ability to think outside the box and deliver fresh, engaging content.

• Strong attention to detail, with exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality content.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with the team.

• Capable of working under tight deadlines.

• Ability to handle client/customer communication is an added advantage.

• Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in a relevant field is a plus.
